Read morea train journey to the palace of my dreams
i started running,
in the mango-mahua plantation of my remote village.
roughly twenty years since then,
only a fraction of those trees remain.
standing here again,
life seems to have come to a full circle.
i wish ft. COVID19
if i could lie about it,
i would,
if only to ease the pain,
maybe i should.

तस्वीर
लेना था बीते कल का जायज़ा,
इस लिए खोले थे पुराने तस्वीर,
इल्म ना था इक बेपरवाही का,
भूल गए थे हम यह बात की,
तुम्हारी-हमारी भी थी एक तस्वीर।
कबुल
यह कागज़ सा मैं,
तुम इसपर स्याही,
मेरे बिन अधूरी तुम,
तेरे बिन मैं क्या ही ?
feel and heal
i laid myself bare, i
left nothing to spare, i
pieces
and then she told me,
she loved someone else,
that i should move on,
and that she meant well.
sleepless serenity
tick-tock goes the clock,
faint whirring of fan overhead,
nostalgia gives a knock,
a long night lies ahead.
the heart aches
the heart aches,
with a thousand tears,
through the sleepless nights,
an anxiety stricken,
helpless mind.
we are explorers
thick dark clouds,
obscured the clear sky.
nimble thumping of waves,
turned into violent reprise.
my sailors await my directions,
ready to comply,
a storm brews,
without any disguise.
you and me
there’s space between us,
enough to fill the mighty sky,
accommodate even the humble earth.
and seasons have cycled,
since our last tryst,
and togetherness of our mirth.
